TitanX opens factory in Mexico to serve Daimler Trucks

TitanX, the leading global supplier of commercial vehicle powertrain cooling solutions, opens a factory in Saltillo, Mexico. The investment in the plant amounts to USD 10 million and is a result of two orders from Daimler Trucks North America in 2013 and 2015. Delivery will start end of 2016 and sales are expected to amount to approximately USD 350 million in total over 5 years. The factory will produce engine-cooling modules for both heavy-duty trucks and medium-duty trucks.

The factory in Saltillo is a new addition to TitanX’s North America organization, and is situated a few kilometres from the Daimler Trucks facilities. TitanX’s well-proven production concept combined with Mexico being a hotspot for the commercial vehicle industry has enabled the factory to already start producing long series of condensers.

“The new Saltillo-factory is a testament to our strategy to localize factories near our key customers and a logical next step on our global expansion journey. With the opening of this site, we now have six production units in five countries, two of which are in North America. The closeness to Daimler Trucks facilitates timely delivery and ensures that we can deliver all the engine-cooling modules they need”, says Stefan Nordström, CEO of TitanX Group.
