On Oct 23rd & 24th, TitanX participated in the second annual Chautauqua County Energy Conference & Expo sponsored by the (CCIDA) Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency. Participation was in the form of a presentation and panel discussion focused on Green Technology Advancements in the Trucking Industry. The discussion involved advancements being made by Chautauqua County based companies in the field of transportation. Frank Perrone, Director of Engineering, TitanX Engine Cooling, Inc. presented information on the (EPA) Environmental Protection Agency's, Emissions requirements leading into 2010, and the resultant TitanX product innovations needed to meet the increased heat transfer (SHP Radiators) and durability (Charge Air Coolers with Superturbs© ) required for the Engine Manufacturers and Truck OEM's strategies to be implemented. Information was presented that showed SHP Radiators have a 6-10% performance edge when tested back to back with current marketed product. The improvement in Heat Transfer performance allows for increased levels of EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) or reduced fuel consumption while utilizing the same packaging space. This technological advancement allows for TitanX customers to be able to market their desired full range of Horse Power Ratings while still meeting the Emissions requirements. The presentation also showed the negative impact higher temperatures and pressures have on Charge Air Coolers. This is primarily caused by the increased use of EGR. TitanX has patented the Superturb© that provides a 2-5X increase in life over todays marketed CAC's under conditions up to 300°C & 4 Bar.
