Lean Manufacturing Manager

TitanX Engine Cooling - a leading, multinational high tech heavy truck supplier, located in Jamestown, NY has an immediate opening for a successful candidate to function as our Lean Manufacturing Manager for the facility leading lean manufacturing initiatives. Candidate is responsible for assisting the Jamestown Team with project development and execution utilizing 5S - Kaizen - SMED, and ensuring application of Lean methodology in technical analysis and documentation.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 5 + years work experience at the manager level with responsibility for lean manufacturing tools. Experience with Toyota production system is desirable. Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft business applications are essential.



SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER


This position ensures that the components purchased comply with the required level of quality using the PQA approach to serial production and new products and coordinates related supplier Quality activities in Purchasing such as:

 

· PQA Process Management including performing on-site Supplier PQA Audits

· Processing PPAP submissions;

· Coordinating QRQC and Quality Incident activities with Suppliers;

Data Collection Recording and Reporting of SQA performance measurements through associated supplier quality and plant resources.

Required education, skills & experience:

Education BA/BS degree in Engineering or a related field

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in Design or Quality Engineering in a high volume production industry.

Buyer – MRO & Investments

 

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating in the purchasing of Investments, MRO and general expense items from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.

 

· Serves as the TiSiX leader for the Purchasing Department.

· Demonstrates proficiency and competency in the use of Supplier Integration tools.

· Manages price variations, maintains price database, and controls the issuance of Purchase Order.

· Serves as the Chemical Buyer to ensure that the purchases of new chemicals are conducted according to the procedure for Introduction of New Materials.

· Issues Master Purchase Orders; maintains files; and enters the Purchase Orders into the MacPac and GP Mate computer systems.

· Responsible for assigned department document control per ISO/TS 16949, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Procedures, NAFTA.

Maintains active key supplier listing.

Required education, skills & experience:

Education BS degree in Business.

Experience: Two (2) years of equivalent work experience. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products is required. Excellent Communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills are also required.

Senior Materials Planner / Shipping Supervisor

This position is responsible for understanding production control procedures to schedule, order and control inventories and analyze facts in production situations and implement corrective actions.

· Places releases for raw material based on requirements generated through MRP system.

· Expedites with suppliers as necessary.

· Plans material orders for non-production materials as needed.

· Monitors and controls inventory levels to achieve forecast and budget.

· Performs “Part Number by Part Number” analysis and develop supply plan.

· Studies market trends, interviews vendors and recommends candidates for Kanban and dock to stock line side storage.

· Achieves inventory targets using formal, established ordering policies and procedures.

Performs inventory analysis for tool resourcing and manages projects as assigned.

Required education, skills & experience:

Education 4 year degree in Materials and/or Manufacturing Management or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in planning and purchasing. CIPM desirable. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products is required. Blueprint reading, hands on MRP, pull systems experience, and APICS Certification. Excellent Communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills are also required.

Manufacturing Supervisor – Second Shift

This position is responsible for leading and managing daily activities, planning, organizing and directing all factory operations in the assigned plant area to meet the goals of the company.

· To plan, organize and direct all factory operations in the assigned plant area to meet the goals of the company.

· Plan, organize and direct the operation of the unit to assure that established production requirements are met.

· Develop and establish productivity requirements for the unit; select, supervise, train, discipline and counsel employees to assure effective professional growth and development.

· Determine manpower requirements needed to meet production schedules.

· Develop and implement action plans for quality improvements. Leads Line QRQC daily, maintains and improves the Line QRQC areas.

Monitors execution of the Production plan using TitanX philosophies.

Required education, skills & experience:

Education Associates Degree

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing management. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations; strong interpersonal skills needed in supervising employees. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products is required.
